Why are we looking to do this?
Electronic cards are something that we have been looking to do for a long time due to the significant cost savings that this should incur. However, one of the primary drivers is that by making the scheme electronic this should have significant extra benefits for team members, including ability to check your balance, not having to carry vouchers round / forget to take them, as the card can be carried around easily, and being able to use the full amount, as the issue with not having change given is removed (ie if you spend £8.70, the system will only debit £8.70 and not round up to £10 as it would have before if you paid with a £10 voucher).
What is the Your Choice Card?
The Your Choice Card is a direct replacement for the paper based Choices Vouchers.
Where can I use my Your Choice Card?
Your new card will be accepted in any of our Managed Houses & the Support Centre Staff Shop.
How does my Your Choice Card work?
Each time you purchase Food, Drink or Accommodation, you may either part or full pay for the transaction up to the active value on the card using the Your Choice card. Simply put, think of your card as any other Gift Card in the market.
Where can I find my card number and PIN?
You can find your card number on the front of the Your Choice Card. Your card number is the 8 digit number on the top line, and your PIN is the 6 digit number beneath this.
How do I move from my paper vouchers card to this new digital card?
Please bring your paper vouchers to the People Team, where they will kindly transfer the full value of your old vouchers.
I didn’t have my Your Choice Card with me when I bought a drink today. What can I do?
Unfortunately, if you forget to take you card with you then you will need to pay with an alternative method of payment. We will not be able to retrospectively adjust your balance.
How do I report a lost, stolen or damaged Your Choice Card?
Please report your lost or stolen card to yourchoice@sabrain.com or contract the People team on 02920 334780. Lost or stolen cards will have any remaining balance at the time the loss/damage is reported transferred to a replacement card?
How can I update my account information? / contact details?
Please email yourchoice@sabrain.com with your new (and old) contact details and we will update it for you within 10 working days.
Does my Your Choice Card have an expiry date?
No, whist in employment by either S A Brain & Co Ltd your card will not expire. If you are no longer employed by the either business then your balance will be transferred onto a S A Brain Gift card which will allow you to spend the remaining balance.
Can my friends and family still use my Vouchers / Card?
Each employee will receive one card, therefore unlike the paper vouchers you will not be able to pass on a voucher. However we recognise that this is something that many people do currently and as you will be able to buy gift cards with your Your Choice card, our recommendation would be to purchase a S A Brain Gift card for your family member or friend using funds from your Card. This then also gives you the ability to buy as many gift cards as you wish to give to family and friends, who also benefit from an easy to carry gift card, access to check the balance, and a credit for only the actual amount used, not a rounded up amount.
